Why Do We Design In 3D?

Designing in 3D helps clients to visualize their space before committing to an upscale outdoor project. This allows them to fall in-love with the project, while making it the easiest decision they’ve ever made regarding their home.

  1. It allows clients to feel involved in the design process and allows them to make changes easily.
  2. It keeps everyone on the same page; we send final photos/video for approval before the clients sign a contract.

Design Process:

The initial design consultation includes discussing the client’s budget, ideas, gathering measurements, and any photos we may need to complete the 3D design.

1. Budget

We discuss any ideas that the client has and the any budget they may have in mind. We ask for our clients to have a maximum budget they would like to spend on their Outdoor Project, so we can decipher which features will fit within that budget before we begin the 3D design and quote. Having a budget beforehand will allow the design/quoting process to be done a lot faster.

2. Design Deposit

Most outdoor projects require a 3D Drawing. We require a design deposit of $1,500.00 and a signed design contract that states after the client pays the design deposit, if they have us perform the work of their outdoor project, the deposit of $1,500.00 will be credited back towards their total project cost. The reason for this is that if we were to create an elaborate design and quote, if the client goes another direction, our time and resources will be accounted for.

3. Design Consultation

Within our first design consultation is where we receive the signed contract, design deposit, ideas, budget, measurements, and photos of the client’s property. We use a 3D software system that allows us to view the client’s property through the GIS feature. This allows for viewing not only measurements, but the terrain of the property as well. We like to gather measurements/terrain levels in person as well to be as accurate as possible while designing.

4. Design Process Begins

When the design process begins, we can either send photos as we design, or wait until the design is finished (allowing for changes until the client is satisfied). Our communication and desire to satisfy our clients, allows us to deliver and unmatched quality of service. We want nothing more than for our clients to love their design, as this is such an exciting journey for any homeowner!

5. Design Process Ends

As the design process comes to an end and we receive our client’s approval, we then begin the quoting process for the Outdoor Project. At this point, we already have the client’s maximum budget at hand, so as we design, we can decipher which features the client can afford in their set budget. Once quoted, everything is itemized which allows the client to easily make changes to the quote. Whether the client wants to decrease or increase the budget, we will make sure the client is highly satisfied with the quote before signing and beginning the Construction Phase.

6. Quoting Process Complete

After the Quoting process has completed, our payment system is then implemented. Every outdoor project is paid in thirds. One third deposit is due before the project begins, allowing us to insert the client into our schedule. The second third deposit is collected when the outdoor project is halfway completed, and the last third deposit is collected when we have finished the entire outdoor project.
